The Dukes Still Me Group celebrate the forthcoming Creative Adventures in Dementia festival with their version of the Sgt Pepper album cover

The Dukes in Lancaster will be staging a national festival in May to promote how the arts can improve the lives of people with dementia.

Among those appearing will be the actor John Middleton who won plaudits for playing a vicar with dementia in the television soap Emmerdale.

The festival will also show how the theatre’s A Life More Ordinary project has touched the lives of people living with dementia, their friends and families.

A photographic exhibition reflecting on three years of A Life More Ordinary at The Dukes and at some of the 15 venues to which it has been rolled out nationwide runs at the theatre’s gallery from March 26 to May 19.
