The Dyas Sisters from Quarantine at the Contact

The Dyas Sisters is the world premièe of Quarantine’s latest show at Manchester Contact Theatre from July 3-6.

Dublin sisters Grace and Veronica Dyas are attempting to write a book where they remember everything that has happened in their lifetime.

The production takes the form of a live audition for the staging of the book. Each night five different local performers will audition in front of the audience to play Grace and Veronica.

Blurring the boundaries between the real and fictional, the show will blend performance, live music and perhaps some ventriloquism.

There will be parts Grace and Veronica won’t remember, or won’t want to share. How will the actors represent their stories? What is performance? What is real?

Manchester-basted Quarantine was set up 14 years ago by Simon Banham, Richard Gregory and Renny O'Shea to make theatre, performance and other public events.
