American actor Emma Flynn will make her West End debut in the role of Cher Horwitz in Clueless the Musical, a new musical comedy based on the 1995 Paramount Pictures film of the same name.
This modern spin on Jane Austen’s Emma will get a makeover from the original film’s writer and director, Amy Heckerling. Keelan McAuley will join the musical as Josh. The stage show will be directed by Rachel Kavanaugh. Choreography will be by Kelly Devine.
The original score is by singer-songwriter K T Tunstall. Lyrics are by Glenn Slater. Together, they “bring a modern, musical vibe to the score, blending the spirit of the ‘90s with a fresh contemporary sound”.
The show features Cher Horowitz, who is the most popular student in her Beverley Hills High School and is renowned for her unique talent at finding love for others. But she is about to embark on her biggest project: making over her awkward new friend Tai and setting her up with the most handsome boy in school.
Clueless The Musical will run at London's Trafalgar Theatre from Saturday 15 February until Saturday 14 June 2025.
