English National Ballet returns to Manchester Opera House with its lavish production of The Sleeping Beauty from November 28 to December 1.
Following the success of its revival in 2005, and 2008—when it was seen by more than 150,000 people—ENB combines grand sets and costumes, Tchaikovksy’s classic score and displays of virtuoso dancing.
The show will be especially attractive to those who saw My First Sleeping Beauty at the Opera House’s sister venue, the Palace Theatre, earlier in the year, performed by ENB2. The My First ballets are the beginning of a series of productions bringing children their first taste of the magical world of ballet.
Alongside the performances, the company also offers a series of events that delve deeper into the magical world of The Sleeping Beauty. These include on-stage ballet workshops, choreographic masterclasses and workshops designed for the whole family.
