Just two weeks after it reopened, Liverpool’s Everyman theatre has been shortlisted for a major design award having been nominated in the regional round of the 2014 Royal Institute of British Architects Awards.
The Everyman is one of 12 nominees from 33 buildings who entered in the north west region, with the winners being announced on April 17.
Designed by Haworth Tompkins (Royal Court, Young Vic, National Theatre), the Everyman began its rebirth with a Lights Up Parade and Housewarming on the following day. Since March 8 the theatre has been playing to sold out performances of Twelfth Night.
