Bill Kenwright's production of Rice and Lloyd Webber's Evita is to tour again, opening in Bromley in January 2017.

Based on the life of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentinian dictator Juan Peron, the musical traces her journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth and power.

It features the popular songs "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and "Another Suitcase in Another Hall".

The production opens at Churchill Theatre in Bromley before touring to Mayflower Theatre in Southampton, Liverpool Empire, Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent, Edinburgh's Playhouse Theatre, Bristol Hippodrome, New Wimbledon Theatre, Oxford's New Theatre, The Lowry in Salford, Cardiff New Theatre, York's Grand Opera House and Sunderland Empire.

It will then cross the Channel for performances at Deutsches Theater in München, Theater II in Zurich, Staatsoper in Hanover, Musicaltheater in Basel and Philharmonie in Köln.

The production is directed by Bob Thomson and Bill Kenwright with design by Matthew Wright and choreography by Bill Deamer. Further dates and casting are still to be announced.
