July 11 sees the release of King Lear, the stage-to-screen film of the Royal Exchange Theatre and Talawa Theatre company's epic production, starring Don Warrington.
It’s a free multi-platform release and will be available on-demand through the BBC in the UK and internationally as part of the BBC/ British Council Shakespeare Lives digital festival for three months online.
Captured at the Exchange, King Lear played to sell-out theatre crowds during its run, winning four and five star reviews.
