Niamh Perry, one of the finalists in the BBC series I’d Do Anything, will play Sophie in the Mamma Mia! international tour when it plays its exclusive UK summer season at Blackpool Opera House from June 20 to September 14.
She previously played the role in the West End in 2009, when the musical celebrated its 10th birthday.
Bangor-born Niamh created the lead role of Fleck in the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Love Never Dies and then went on to play the title role in the world première of the musical version of The Little Prince at the Lyric, Belfast.
The Mamma Mia! international tour is led by real-life husband and wife Richard Standing and Sara Poyzer, with Sara playing Donna Sheridan and Richard playing Sam Carmichael.
