A new 25th anniversary production of Fame, the musical that ‘lives forever', brings its star-struck wannabes dancing into Salford’s Lowry arts centre from May 6-10.

Based on the Oscar-winning film, Fame—The Musical is re-mixed and re-imagined, directed and choreographed by the award-winning Gary Lloyd whose many theatre credits include director and choreographer for Thriller Live! and 20th Century Boy, The Story of Marc Bolan.

Based in the world-famous High School for Performing Arts New York, Fame—The Musical stars Jodie Steele, whose credits include Mimi in Rent at the Tabard and Ikette in Tina Turner Experience in Holland, as Carmen Diaz.

The role of Schlomo Metzenbaum is played by Harry Blumenau whose credits include Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk for The Wakefield Theatre Royal and Eric in Lord of the Flies and Bassist in Spring Awakening, both for the Catford Broadway Theatre.
