Favourites return for Sleeping Beauty in Coventry

Coventry favourites Iain Lauchlan and Craig Hollingsworth will return to the Belgrade alongside a mixture of new and familiar faces for the theatre’s 2018 panto Sleeping Beauty.

Writer and director Lauchlan takes the role of Nanny McWheeze and will be joined by regular partner in crime Hollingsworth as Muddles. The comedy double act will assist Prince Valiant in his quest to rescue the sleeping princess.

Joanna Thorne who recently completed her training at London’s Arts Educational Schools plays the prince while Melissa Brown-Taylor snoozes her way through as Princess Belle.

Anna Mitcham who appeared in Dick Whittington in 2016 and Cinderella in 2010 returns to the Belgrade as the good fairy. Vicky Field and Declan Wilson are also back as the king and queen.

Laura Judge is wicked fairy Carabosse. Completing the cast as the male and female ensembles will be Katy Anna Southgate and Ivano Turco.

Sleeping Beauty runs at the Belgrade Theatre from Wednesday 21 November until Saturday 5 January 2019.
