The Light Princess

The Albany in Deptford and ARC Stockton have announced two new festive co-commissions.

The Light Princess, from LAStheatre, is a reimagining of the classic fairytale, with puppetry and an upbeat electronic score.

Well Done, Mummy Penguin, from Can’t Sit Still, is a new stage adaptation of the latest picture book from award-winning writer and illustrator Chris Haughton.

Both shows will be performed at the Albany and at ARC Stockton this year and next.

The commission involves a grant of £44,000 for each company to develop their show, as well as up to four weeks R&D and rehearsal space, and production, technical and marketing support.
