Flicker And The Flying Books

A whole host of story-trouble awaits young audiences as they join Flicker And The Flying Books on their adventure at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre on Sunday June 28 and the Central Library on Saturday July 4, as part of the Manchester Children’s Book Festival.

No-one is interested in the little bookcase in the corner—they have far more important things to do. Then one day, the magical Flicker starts throwing books from the shelves and flicking though pages. Soon there is mayhem and chaos, as the books come out of the page, disrupting everybody’s ordinary lives.

An inter-generational cast with an age range of 15-81, have collaborated with Andy Barry to create the play. His last production, The Great Story Theft, sold out as part of the same event in 2014.
