Birmingham Rep has teamed up with the Trussell Trust charity, allowing audience members to make donations to foodbanks.

Throughout the run of Nativity the Musical! by Debbie Isitt, anyone can donate non-perishable items as well as school uniforms which will be distributed by Rep volunteers to those facing a challenging winter.

Suzi Lea from Aston and Nechells foodbank said, “nobody should have to come to a foodbank, but this winter we’re expecting many will have to access our support due to the cost-of-living crisis. Any donation to help our work will be gratefully received.”

Rachael Thomas, the Rep’s executive director, added, “while the festive season is a time for celebration and coming together, it is also a time for reflection and helping others. We know that our extremely kind, generous audiences and supporters will help us this winter to help those in our city in the most need.”

Donation points will be available in the Birmingham Rep foyer from Saturday 19 November until Saturday 7 January 2023.
