Act Your Age New Writing Festival launches on August 23 at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre.
The event takes place over three consecutive Mondays, and showcases a mix of theatrical plays and staged radio plays by playwrights from across the globe with characters predominantly over the age of 40.
It’s all in support of promoting new and engaging writing as well as showcasing such actors.
Act Your Age was founded in January 2020 to aid casting projects needing performers over the age of 40. There are now more than 6,300 members of the community within the UK with numbers increasing daily.
