A full day of half-term fun on The Quays in Salford awaits families and culture vultures on 26 October as the BBC, IWM North, The Lowry, MediaCityUK and other organisations offer behind-the-scenes tours, special events and offers as the canal sides come alive with markets, film screenings and talks.
More than 20 years since work began to make the historic, yet derelict, Manchester Docks a new place to live, work and relax, organisations making their home on The Quays will celebrate the area’s rebirth as a hive of creativity and fun by holding the free open day.
