A Different Way Home by Jimmie Chinn plays this year’s Greater Manchester Fringe at Guide Bridge Theatre in Audenshaw on July 21 and 22 and on July 25 at the Kings Arms in Salford.
Audiences hear from two members of a family from a small, close-knit Northern town, telling a story from two different perspectives. Leslie, who has lived with his mother all his life, relays the events leading up to her death. In act two we hear her side of the story.
The play started life as a short radio play, was subsequently televised by Granada in front of a small studio audience and found new life as a two-act play at Oldham Coliseum with Roy Barraclough.
