Mother There Art Thou

As part of Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, Maverick Charles Productions presents Mother There Art Thou, a darkly comedic play from debut writer Tom Kirby.

Rules have dictated Charlie and Murphy’s lives since they were born. But when the siblings' ever-present mother and gatekeeper passes away, the pair have to decide which parts of reality they choose to accept.

This two-handed short play is suitable for ages 12 and above and explores family conflict, childhood rules and what happens when rules are gone.

Maverick Charles Productions is a comedy partnership founded by two junior doctors, Jack Dalziel and Hugo Lewkowicz, in 2016. So far, they’ve produced four original comedy plays.

Mother There Art Thou is at the Kings Arms, Salford, July 26–27.
