Casting announced for West End Guys and Dolls

Full casting has been announced for the Chichester Festival Theatre revival of Guys and Dolls which will open at the Savoy Theatre for a 13-week run from 10 December 2015.

Joining Sophie Thompson as Miss Adelaide is David Haig as Nathan Detroit—their last pairing was as bride and groom in the British film Four Weddings and a Funeral. Jamie Parker is Sky Masterson and Siobhan Harrison is Sarah Brown.

Set in Prohibition-era New York, Guys and Dolls premièred on Broadway in 1950 and captured the optimism and energy of post-World War Two America. Based on the stories by American journalist Damon Runyon, renowned for his vivid fictional depictions of the gamblers, hustlers and nightclub singers of New York, the show features numbers including "Luck be a Lady" and "Sit Down you're Rockin' the Boat".

Guys and Dolls is directed by Gordon Greenberg with choeography by Cuban dancer and Royal Ballet star Carlos Acosta and Andrew Wright whose credits include Chichester Festival Theatre's Singin' in the Rain.
