Bolton Octagon Theatre has announced Georgia Murphy as associate director.
She is a director, writer and theatre-maker specialising in comedy, family shows, new writing and devised work and trained at École Philippe Gaulier. She has worked as an assistant director with Cal McCrystal and Marcello Magni and is an associate artist with Spymonkey. She also creates comedy and family theatre with her company Mouths of Lions which she founded in 2013.
During the next year, Georgia will contribute to the Octagon’s artistic output across various departments and make her Octagon directing debut with the festive show A Christmas Carol.
