Professor Tony Stoney-Middleton and Miss Pringle in The Ghosthunters’ Club

Audiences who check into Scrivener’s Book Shop for The Ghosthunters’ Club will be led through all five creaky floors of the building as they hunt ghosts and try to solve a mystery.

Terry Naylor plays Professor Tony Stoney-Middleton while Angela Hulme is his right-hand woman, Miss Pringle. They sign up 12 “apprentice” ghosthunters for an hour of fun and laughter in which the audience are encouraged to participate as much as possible. It is suitable “for all the family”.

Naylor is director of Cul-de-sac Theatre, winners of 2003 best drama award at Buxton Fringe for Endgame by Samuel Beckett. His wife Miranda Midlane took over as owner of Scrivener’s Books and Bookbinding in 2014.

The Ghosthunters’ Club runs at Scrivener’s Books, 42 High Sreet, Buxton from Tuesday 14 until Friday 17 July at 6PM and from Tuesday 21 until Friday 24 July at 9PM.
