Godiva at the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad

A giant Lady Godiva, created for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad by live events company Imagineer, is heading to Coventry for the Godiva Festival.

Godiva, combining mechanical puppetry and modern animation techniques, will welcome visitors from the city and beyond to War Memorial Park for the three-day festival.

Performing on the main stage on Saturday 1 July will be Bollywood Dance School UK whose motto is “connecting global communities through dance”.

The following day, British street dance troupe Diversity, who won Britain’s Got Talent in 2007, will take to the main stage.

There will be an opportunity for visitors to try circus skills, including wire walking, acrobatics and aerial hoop, and puppeteering.

Further acts are to be announced. More information is available at the Godiva Festival web site.
