Girls to have fun at Stafford before national tour

Linda Nolan who plays Karen in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

A “no holds barred comedy romp through everything life throws at a modern day woman”, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is to open at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre at the start of a national tour.

The show will examine “dating, relationships, break-ups, fashion, dieting, chocolate, more dieting, sex, going out, staying in, wine, more wine and of course men”.

The show will also feature pop anthems including “We Are Family”, “I’m In the Mood for Dancing” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”.

The cast comprises Linda Nolan as Karen, Jess Wright and Stephanie Dooley who share the role of Jocelyn, Niki Evans as Jackie and Leanne Jones as Angie.

Written by Julie Coombe and John McIsaac, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is directed by John McIsaac and choreographed by Hayley Jane Simmons. It runs at Stafford Gatehouse on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 April. It then tours until the middle of June.
