Performance poet Jay Délise will be presenting her first full-length solo show Black And... at the eighth Greater Manchester Fringe July 1–31.
Black And... at Gullivers on Oldham Street July 10–12 focusses on the growing up of a queer black girl living in America.
She is hoping GMFringe will be a launchpad for Edinburgh Fringe.
GMFringe is an open access arts festival and is inviting venues throughout Greater Manchester that want to take part to get in touch as soon as possible. Those that have registered so far include The Eagle Inn, The Kings Arms, Salford Arts Theatre, Footlights, Gullivers, Hatch and the Anthony Burgess Foundation,
Deadline for registering a show at those venues—and featuring in the A4 colour brochure—is April 26.
