Doreen Tipton, Andrew Ryan, Alexia McIntosh and Samantha Dorrance will join the cast of Goldilocks and the Three Bears alongside Jason Donovan and Matt Slack in Birmingham Hippodrome’s 2021 panto.
Donovan will make his panto debut as the Evil Ringmaster while Slack will be the Ringmaster. Tipton, known as Queen of the Black Country, will play Doreen the Lion Tamer, Ryan, appearing in his 35th panto, will take the role of Dame Betty Barnum, McIntosh will be Candy Floss and Dorrance will become Goldilocks.
The “UK’s biggest regional panto” will follow Dame Betty Barnum and her daughter Goldilocks who are battling to save their circus from the Evil Ringmaster who is intent on stealing their three loveable bears and leaving them in ruin.
Michael Harrison, chief executive of Crossroads Pantomimes who will produce and direct the show, said, "audiences are going to love Goldilocks and the Three Bears, the first circus-themed pantomime at the Hippodrome for 24 years.
“The show will incorporate the very best of the production I created for the sell-out London Palladium panto in 2019 alongside lots of new material created especially for our Birmingham cast and audience."
Goldilocks and the Three Bears will run at Birmingham Hippodrome from Saturday 18 December until Sunday 30 January 2022.
