Happy Days comes to The Lowry in the TV sitcom’s 40th anniversary year—starring Liverpool-born Heidi Range and ex-Emmerdale actor Ben Freeman.

A musical version comes to Salford from June 23-28.

This brand new UK Tour features King of Cool Arthur ‘The Fonz’ Fonzarelli and follows favourite 50s family, the Cunninghams and the rest of the gang as they battle to save their beloved diner Arnold’s from demolition.

West End leading man and ex-Emmerdale star Freeman takes on the iconic role of The Fonz, alongside Liverpool-born Heidi Range, from girl group the Sugababes, as Pinky Tuscadero. Cheryl Baker, of Bucks Fizz fame, plays Mrs Cunningham.

The show features 21 original songs by Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe award-winning Hall of Fame Songwriter, Paul Williams as well as the Happy Days theme tune.

Henry Winkler, the original Fonz, served as creative consultant, working alongside director Andrew Wright and the cast.

Happy Days raised its target funding of £250,000 from 345 investors in just six weeks through the UK crowdfunding platform Seedrs. It’s a world first for equity crowdfunding—the first time a major theatre production has raised money by opening up investment to anyone and offering participation in the profits.
