The Lowry co-production with Headlong and Chichester Festival Theatre of Hedda Tesman will tread the Salford boards October 3–19 following its première run at Minerva Theatre.
Hedda Tesman, by Cordelia Lynn after Henrik Ibsen, concerns a doting husband, a troubled writer and a loaded gun.
After 30 years of playing wife, Hedda is bitter and bored. When her estranged daughter, Thea, suddenly reappears asking for help, the present begins to echo the past and Hedda embarks on a path of destruction.
