A season of “world-class performance and artistic adventure” is promised at Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry.

Matt Burman, head of programme and audiences, says, “I’m genuinely excited by our autumn season.

“We’ve got work of the highest quality, from nationally and internationally acclaimed artists and performers. It’s hard to pick highlights from a programme that is so packed with them.”

Dance company Motionhouse opens the season with the world première of Broken which “leads audiences through a mythical underworld with a blend of dance and film”. It runs from 2 until 4 October.

Touring productions include Theatre O’s The Secret Agent, inspired by Joseph Conrad’s novel, from 8 until 12 October, Headlong and Nottingham Playhouse’s co-production of George Orwell’s 1984 from 15 until 19 October and Out of Joint’s presentation of Dawn King’s Ciphers from 19 until 23 November.
