Award-winning writer Hilary Mantel is to take part in two special events at the Royal Shakespeare Company to accompany the adaptation of two of her novels.

The world première stage versions of Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies are currently running in the Swan Theatre at Stratford until the end of March.

Hilary Mantel and Mike Poulton who adapted both plays will discuss the process of bringing the novels to the RSC stage in Writer and Adapter Talk in the Swan on Saturday 22 March from 11:15AM until midday. Tickets cost £5.

Hilary Mantel and leading Tudor experts including Diarmaid MacCulloch, David Loades and Nicola Shulman will take part in a day of talks exploring the context of the novels and the influence of Cromwell in Henry VIII's court.

The day will end with a discussion and question-and-answer session with all the day’s speakers.

Cromwell’s Court: How Religion, Politics and Personal Influence Shaped a King’s Reign and a Queen’s Downfall will be staged in the Swan on Sunday 23 March from 11AM until 4PM. Tickets cost £30.
