Some Like It Hip Hop

ZooNation, one of the UK’s leading hip hop dance companies, brings the Olivier award-nominated Some Like It Hip Hop to the North West for the first time this month.

With a nod to Billy Wilder’s film Some Like It Hot and Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, it tells a comical tale of love, mistaken identity, cross-dressing and revolution; all played out in ZooNation’s trademark style of hip hop, comedy and physical theatre.

Directed by Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist and ZooNation founder Kate Prince and featuring music by DJ Walde and Josh Cohen, the show’s acclaimed original cast is led by Tommy Franzen (So You Think You Can Dance, Blaze), Lizzie Gough (So You Think You Can Dance, The X Factor) and Teneisha Bonner (StreetDance 3D, Shoes, Into the Hoods).

It’s at The Lowry from October 18-20.
