Birmingham Hippodrome reached its target of raising £45,000 as part of its annual Big Give Christmas Challenge 2024.
The money will help to ensure the Hippodrome can present more relaxed performances, deepen partnerships with special educational needs (SEN) schools, support the start of a new SEN youth theatre in 2025 and develop the Hippodrome’s access and inclusion advocates participation programme.
Judith Greenburgh, head of fundraising and development at Birmingham Hippodrome, said, “we’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the campaign through their donations.
“Looking forward, we will build on last year’s 15.7% increase in audiences at accessible and relaxed performances. We anticipate that more than 30,000 people will create lasting memories at these inclusive performances.”
