HOME Manchester returns to London South Bank’s River Stage Festival from July 20, following last year’s debut, bringing a line-up of northern performers and musicians to the capital.
The River Stage is London’s largest free outdoor arts festival organised by the National Theatre in partnership with four of the UK’s leading arts and culture organisations.
HOME kicks off its weekend takeover with an If It Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It opening night featuring last year’s opening acts, sequin-clad satirical weirdos Bourgeois & Maurice and Madchester legend Dave Haslam.
The HOME takeover weekend will also feature pop-up theatre from The Manchester Project, suffragette sash workshops with Mighty Heart Theatre, live music from Manchester International Roots Orchestra and spoken word from Young Identity. Saturday evening will culminate in ‘champion of good music’ and Hacienda legend DJ Paulette on the decks.
