Born in Eccles before moving to Glossop, Maiya Quansah-Breed plays Catherine Parr, survivor and Henry VIII’s final wife in SIX the musical which comes to The Lowry from December 4 to 16.
From Tudor queens to pop princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to retell their stories in a 75-minute celebration of 21st century sisterhood remixing 500 years of heartbreak.
Maiya said: “Six is my professional debut out of drama school, and I’m super excited to be performing on my home stage. I have learnt so much about the strong women who stood by one of history’s most well-known monarchs.”
