Digital Theatre is to stream Original Theatre’s comedy The Hound of the Baskervilles, Lotte Wakeham’s “overhaul” of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most celebrated adventure.
The adaptation combines “an exhilarating collision of farce, theatrical invention and wonderfully comic performances to offer a new twist on the greatest detective story of all time”.
Original Theatre’s show was co-produced with the Octagon Theatre, Bolton and was recorded at Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre in February 2022.
Combining live-streaming with pre-filmed content, the Digital Theatre version of the show features wraparound content with pre-show and interval entertainment from Niall Ransome who plays Dr Watson, a Baskerville bingo and a post-show question-and-answer session with live interactive hosting by comedian Pippa Evans.
The show features Jake Ferretti as Sherlock Holmes and Serena Manteghi as Sir Henry as well as Ransome. The Hound of the Baskervilles—A Digital Theatre Experience will be broadcast on Saturday 7 May from 7:15PM and will be available until Sunday 22 May at the Digital Theatre web site.
