Hunt for youngsters for Midlands pantos

Three theatres in the Midlands are looking for youngsters to join the cast of their 2016 Christmas shows.

Coventy’s Belgrade is looking for three teams of eight children aged from 9 to 16 for the chorus of Dick Whittington. Auditions will be held on Sunday 4 September at the theatre from 9:45AM. Applicants are encouraged to pre-register their interest via the Belgrade web site. Dick Whittington runs on the Belgrade’s main stage from 23 November until 7 January.

Derby LIVE and Paul Holman Associates will audition girls aged between 9 and 12 for Cinderella which will be staged at Derby Arena from 6 December until 3 January. The auditions will be held at the Arena on Sunday 11 September, with registration from 9AM. Northamptonshire theatre The Core at Corby Cube is looking for children to join A Christmas Carol which runs from 8 until 31 December. Auditions will take place at the theatre on Sunday 4 September.

Director Gary Sefton is looking for girls and boys to play a variety of roles. Parents must pre-register by Monday 29 August. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Core at Corby Cube web site.
