Michael Starke will perform opposite is real-life wife, Lynn Francis, in Haunted Scouse by Gerry Linford at Liverpool's Royal Court Theatre.

Charlie Moon (Starke) is sadly missed and his widow, Molly (Francis), is the one doing most of the missing. She feels guilty about how he passed and wants to make things right with him. If only he was still here…

Molly Moon’s dreams are about to come true as the ghost of her husband stalks the halls of their old house on the anniversary of his death. Well, more shuffles than stalks really. His back’s not great and he never got that ingrowing toenail sorted out.

Directed by Emma Bird, the cast also includes Julie Glover as Linda, Helen Carter as Peggy and Paul Duckworth as Gordon. Set and costume design is by Ellie Light, lighting design by Ian Scott, sound design by Kate Harvey and AV design by Jamie Jenkins.

Haunted Scouse runs at the Royal Court from 9 February to 9 March 2024.
