Rhymes Improv who will create a new musical in Rhymes Against Humanity

An improved musical, a festive classic and an adult panto are among the attractions in the 2024 autumn and winter season at The Squire Performing Arts Centre in Nottingham.

Rhymes Against Humanity, a “non-stop joyride of musical hilarity that’s all being created in the moment”, will take to the stage on Saturday 9 November. Rhymes Improv creates everything on the spot, with the title of a new musical being picked from a hat with suggestions from members of the audience.

It’s a Wonderful Life (Live) will start the Christmas festivities on Sunday 1 December. A small cast with a selection of wigs and props will take you behind the scenes of the festive classic.

The Squire Performing Arts Centre will welcome back Far Out Theatre and their adult panto Treasure Island. Follow the misadventures of Jim Hawkins who sets out on a quest for treasure like no other. For adults only, Treasure Island: An Adult Panto will be performed on Sunday 7 December.

A networking event for all East Midlands creatives will be held at the Squire Performing Arts Centre on Friday 27 September, and a three-day physical workshop hosted by Sophie Jane Corner will take place from Tuesday 22 until Thursday 24 October from 9AM until 5PM.
