French-Canadian stage and screen star Audrey Brisson will play the iconic altruist Amélie Poulain in the UK’s first musical adaptation of the five-time Oscar-nominated film.

Telling the story of the imaginative and shy romantic with a gift for helping others, Amélie The Musical will tour the UK and land at the Opera House Manchester from August 6–10.

It is the story of a young woman who lives quietly in the world, but loudly in her mind. She secretly improvises small but extraordinary acts of kindness that bring happiness to those around her. But when a chance at love comes her way, Amélie realises that to find her own contentment she’ll have to risk everything…

Amélie The Musical was first staged in California in 2015. When the UK tour concludes in September, it will tour internationally.
