Asylum of Grace

"A delicate work on damaged relationships which many people will relate to"—Asylum Of Grace will première at Manchester’s Three Minute Theatre from December 13-15.

Written by Neil Ely and directed by Lloyd Eyre-Morgan, it’s set in the early 1980s.

Free-spirited Amber is from Manchester living in Eastbourne, working as a waitress for the summer season. On a night out she stumbles back to local lad Sean's house, and their lives change forever.

The play is inspired by events that happened while the writer Neil Ely’s mother was living in Eastbourne. Asylum of Grace deals with issues of mental health, domestic abuse and gender roles.
