James Peake, winner of best dame in the 2020 Great British Pantomime Awards, is to play Widow Twankey in Loughborough Town Hall’s 2021 panto Aladdin.
Kristian Cunningham, nominated for best leading male at the awards, will take the title role.
Simon Gibson, the town hall’s venue manager, said, “we’re hugely excited to be welcoming back such talented performers to be part of Loughborough’s much loved and critically acclaimed pantomime.”
Morgan Brind and Alan Bowles of producers Little Wolf Entertainment added, “it’s great to be back to dazzle and delight audiences once more. Pantomime in Loughborough is a treasured part of thousands of people’s festive celebrations and we can’t wait for audiences to see what’s set to be a truly mesmerising show.”
Aladdin will run at Loughborough Town Hall from Friday 20 November until Sunday 2 January 2022.
