JB Shorts 9

After eight sell-out seasons, JB Shorts return to Manchester from March 12 to 23.

This time the short play pageant of six new works welcomes on board Emmerdale writer Sarah Bagshaw and Manchester poet and playwright Anjum Malik along with actor David Crellin who recently appeared in Coronation Street as Colin Fishwick, and actress Samantha Power who’s well known to television audiences for her regular appearances in Little Britain.

Also making his first JB Shorts appearance is Mark Sheals, a former professional rugby league player. Since swapping floodlights for footlights, Mark's film credits include Tony in Weekender and a cameo in Sherlock Holmes 2.

The Joshua Brooks pub, venue for the event, also welcomes back actors James Quinn, Will Travis and John Catterall.

Due to popular demand JB Shorts will also now have a matinée performance on Saturday March 23 at 3PM.
