Johnny Come Lately

Award-winning theatre company Coal brings a new play, Johnny Come Lately, to Manchester’s Royal Exchange and Liverpool’s Unity Theatre next month.

Collaboratively written under the direction of John Wright, co-founder of the multi-award winning, internationally recognized Told By An Idiot, it tells the story of a mother and her adult daughter living on the margins of society.

One night, a knock on the door brings a stranger (played by Egyptian / American actor Amr El-Bayoumi) into their co-dependent universe. Soon the three of them are existing together in an uncomfortable collision of two worlds.
