Jonathan Wilkes as Buttons

Jonathan Wilkes returns to Stoke’s Regent Theatre after a year away to play Buttons in Cinderella.

Wilkes enjoyed a record-breaking run of pantos at the Regent from 2005 to 2010. Last year he played the title role in Dick Whittington at the Waterside Theatre, Aylesbury.

He said, “It’s great to be coming home. I missed being here last year—it just didn’t seem right without my Stoke friends and family.

“I’m going to make sure that when you come and see this show, it’ll be the best panto you’ve seen. We’re coming back with a bang!”

Christian Patterson returns to the Regent as one of the ugly sisters and will be accompanied by Kai Owen from Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood.

Rebecca Lisewski plays Cinderella, Jonathan Bremner is Prince Charming and the winner of talent contest Stoke's Top Talent, opera singer Carrie Ann Williams, is the Fairy Godmother.

Cinderella is at the Regent from Thursday (13 December) until Friday, 4 January.
