New Dawn Fades returns to the stage to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of Joy Division’s debut album Unknown Pleasures.

The play places the band in the context of Manchester’s history as a city with a vibrant reputation, drawing inspiration from the lyrics of Ian Curtis.

New Dawn Fades debuted at Greater Manchester Fringe Festival in July 2013 and toured regularly. It is now touring Manchester, Sheffield and London.
