Kelsey Grammer and Danielle de Niese to star in Man of La Mancha

Michael Linnit and Michael Grade will collaborate with English National Opera to bring a new production of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Man of La Mancha to London, the show's first West End production in more than 50 years.

Kelsey Grammer will make his West End debut playing Miguel de Cervantes and Don Quixote. International opera soprano Danielle de Niese will play Aldonza and Dulcinea for 33 performances with further star casting for this role and the rest of the company yet to be announced.

The production will be directed by Lonny Price with music by Mitch Leigh, lyrics by Joe Darion and book by Dale Wasserman. The conductor will be David White, set designer will be James Noone, lighting designer Rick Fisher, sound designer Mick Potter and casting director David Grindrod.

Man of La Mancha will play a limited season at the London Coliseum at the end of April 2019.
