Kids Week record 38-show line-up

Kids WeekThe 15th year of Kids Week from Society of London Theatre will offer free tickets and activities for a record 38 shows this August, and is also extended to run for a whole month for the first time.

Kids Week was created to encourage young people to go to the theatre, and allows any child aged 16 years or under to attend a participating show for free if accompanied by an adult paying full price, plus up to two extra children's tickets can be purchased for half price.

The shows participating are: The 39 Steps, Billy Elliot The Musical, Blood Brothers, Carousel, Chariots Of Fire, Chicago, Disney's The Lion King, The Doctor's Dilemma, Dreamboats and Petticoats, Ghost The Musical, Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain, Jersey Boys, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, Matilda the Musical, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Mousetrap, Nickelodeon's Dora The Explorer, One Man Two Guvnors, The Phantom Of The Opera, Ragtime The Musical, Reduced Shakespeare Company, Rock Of Ages, Shrek The Musical, Singin' In The Rain, Spamalot, Stomp, Sweeney Todd, The Tiger Who Came To Tea, Timon Of Athens, Thriller Live, Top Hat, War Horse, We Will Rock You, Wicked, The Wizard Of Oz, The Woman In Black and Yes, Prime Minister.

The activities include the chance to take part in a Tigerlympics Tea Party, become a Munchkin in the Merry Old Land of Oz, join Michael Ball in a Sweeney Todd Q&A, learn more about Disney’s The Lion King’s masks and puppets, join a Singin’ in the Rain dance class or jump back into Terrible Tudor times at a Horrible Histories workshop.
