Kinky Boots has broken box-office records at Northampton’s Royal and Derngate, selling the highest number of tickets at the venue for a two-week touring musical.
Jo Gordon, Royal and Derngate’s interim chief executive, said, “we’d like to thank everyone in Northampton for getting behind the show. The support we’ve received from audiences, from businesses and from our promotional partners has been absolutely phenomenal.
“We’re immensely proud to have been the venue which opened the UK national tour of Kinky Boots—and proud to have been able to bring the show home to where the story originally began.”
The Kinky Boots tour continues until 23 November 2019.
