Lancashire Youth Dance Festival in May

A new generation of inspiring dancers will be bringing their talent to the stage in Lancaster in May.

They’ll be taking part in the fifth annual Lancashire Youth Dance Festival, staged at The Dukes on May 17 and 18, giving hundreds of the region’s most talented young dancers the opportunity to perform in a professional venue.

The two-day festival presented by Ludus Dance and The Dukes will see Lancaster become the county’s dance capital for young people.

Among this year’s festival workshops will be one led by Debbie Milner’s all-male company Edge FWD with their unique style of physical theatre.

Two evenings of exciting new dance performances will feature dance groups aged 11 to 19 from Lancashire, Cumbria and Manchester. All will work with freelance dance artist Helen Gould to create a finale sure to have the ‘wow’ factor.
