Lancastrians

In Lancaster, three teenagers dream of the big city. In Burnley, a Muslim woman wants to be Miss Lancashire. In Blackpool, a bride-to-be is having cold feet…

Lancastrians is a new play made using the real words of 500 people interviewed about living in the county. Three actors play a multitude of characters in a variety of locations.

Junction 8 Theatre’s first production Under The Market Roof by Becky Prestwich was inspired by, and performed outdoors on, Chorley Market in 2017. Lancastrians continues their reputation for accessible theatre experiences and, following a world première in Chorley, will tour to Burnley, Preston, Lancaster, Blackpool and Skelmersdale.
