Leicester’s Curve is this week holding a week-long celebration of Holi, the Hindu festival of colours, as part of its community engagement programme.

Holi-inspired activities will take place from Monday until Saturday and will include a free programme curated by Suba Das, Curve’s associate director of community engagement.

He commented, “As well as a theatre, Curve offers a dynamic venue for the local community to celebrate, discover and take part in a range of Leicester’s cultural events throughout the year – and is now becoming a recognised hub for many of the city’s biggest festivals.

“For the upcoming Holi festivities, Curve will be awash with the colours and flavours of this vibrant festival.”

To celebrate Easter, Curve will be holding a selection of free family-friendly events, including storytelling in association with Leicester Library Service and a children’s craft workshop with Northern Ballet’s children’s production of Ugly Duckling on Thursday (28 March).

The theatre will also be among the venues in Leicester taking part in St George’s Day festivities, including a How to Slay A Dragon combat class for children, from 15 until 20 April.
