The Beauty of Being Herd

In Ruth Berkoff's first solo show at the Kings Arms in Salford, The Beauty of Being Herd, Hannah has decided to leave her life to live as a sheep.

It was created by Berkoff with Georgia Murphy, who was associate director at Bolton Octagon, and Alice Robinson from Performer's Playground. It was performed as part of the Shape of Things to Come programme at Volcano Theatre in Swansea in July 2023.

The show "uses original songs, clowning and some heartfelt moments" to discuss "how hard it is to be a human, and how fitting in and understanding the way the world works can be especially tricky for some of us."

It can also be seen at Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds on 27 January and at Rural Arts in Thirsk on 25 April.
